Founded by Briana Smith, LMFT, Be Seen Therapy has grown into a thriving practice dedicated to empowering individuals and transforming lives through compassionate care.
We specialize in trauma therapy, EMDR, anxiety and depression treatment, couples counseling, and specialized care for neurodivergent individuals. Requirements
Education & Licensure
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California
Current active license in good standing
For Associate-level clinicians: Must be registered as an Associate MFT, Associate SW, or Associate PCC with appropriate supervision hours completed

Associate Therapist Job Description
Pay: $30.00 an hour
Title: Associate Therapist
Reports to: Briana Smith, LMFT
Education and/or Experience:
Current Associate MFT, PCC, or CSW registration
EMDR Trained through an EMDRIA approved program
Experience and/or training preferred in the behavioral healthcare field for Substance Abuse and Mental Health
Current Individual Professional Liability Insurance
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies, and Expectations:
Ability to prepare case consultations, treatment plans, and attend Treatment Team meetings
Ability to de-escalate clients if needed
Ability to run therapy groups, individual and family sessions
Required Duties:
Provide individual sessions with clients weekly via Telehealth
Inform Supervisor of all new clients prior to the second session
Perform client assessments at time of admission and re-assessments as needed
Provide appropriate diagnoses as indicated
Complete treatment plans based on a review of the client’s history, signs, and symptoms
Complete session notes within 24 hours of the sessions in accordance with Practice policies, the ethics of the professions, and the requirements of third-party payors
Monitor client’s response to treatment and modify Treatment Plans accordingly
Provide a weekly summary of hours of experience to Supervisor to be signed as part of supervision
Provide Supervisor with weekly case material for review on a weekly basis, and provide audio/video tape recordings of Employee’s sessions to Supervisor as requested with consent from the client
Contact Supervisor, or other emergency contact, if an emergency arises regarding client safety, reporting obligations, or other urgent situations. However, Employee understands that Supervisor will not always be immediately available and cannot be on 24-hour call
Attend weekly supervision sessions prepared and in a timely manner
Participate at weekly virtual treatment team meetings
De-escalate clients during crisis periods
Crisis intervention services as required, including contacting Psychiatric Emergency Teams (PET) and reporting child abuse and/or dependent/adult abuse
Demonstrate knowledge of HIPAA and current legal standards pertaining to professional practice
Demonstrate respect for cultural and lifestyle diversities of clients and staff
Work Schedule:
The position will be Part Time $30/hour to start with expectation to be Full Time within 6 months
While the schedule is flexible, we do require that you have 30 slots available during the week, as the expectation is to build up to 25 clinical sessions per week.
Hours may vary: expected 25 clinical sessions per week with admin time and supervision time varying depending on amount of sessions
We require that at least 2 days a week you have the evening slots available from 4pm-8pm
We offer an Evening Position Premium of $5/hour if you have at least 4 days/15 slots of evening availability open per week (4pm-8pm), which would be paid for any sessions held during those evening hours.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Must be able to sit/stand/stoop/kneel for prolonged periods of time
Must have the visual acuity to see the computer screen and paperwork
Required Equipment
Access to a working computer, cell phone, and/or tablet equipped with adequate physical, technical, and administrative safeguards under HIPAA rules and regulations governing data security.
Access to Wi-Fi with a reliable internet connections
Access to a private location to conduct phone screenings as needed
